Today in the 3-Bet we find Fedor Holz putting on a clinic at WPT Vienna, Anthony Zinno piles another $200k into his bankroll and a chance to turn $1 into a $9m Sunday Million ticket.
1) Holz Dismantles WPT Vienna
If you're somehow unfamiliar with the name Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz, now's a good time to get acquainted as he could be the breakout star of the 2015 WSOP.
Winner of the WCOOP Main Event, a big-time poker backer and, as it happens, a pretty enlightened guy outside of poker too the 22-year-old German is already one of the most accomplished players in the game.
Did we mention he's also #1 on the worldwide PocketFives online rankings? Kid's done a lot in a short time.
Playing Day 1a of the WPT Vienna Main Event yesterday Holz rampaged through the field and bagged an astronomical 182,500 -- 6x the starting stack.
Needless to say, he's the overwhelming chip leader heading into Day 2.
Still a ways to go for another title but if history is a hint, Holz is prob. a 1-1 favorite at this point. Check the recap of Day 1a here and follow along for Day 1b and beyond here.
2) Zinno Chops, Wins Bay 101 High Roller
Sick of hearing about Anthony Zinno yet? The guy who just won back-to-back WPT titles, $1.3m in prize money and pretty much locked up WPT Player of the Year for this season?
Yeah, that guy.
He didn't manage to win the WPT Bay 101 Main Event for his thrird title in a row - didn't even cash, actually - but that didn't slow down his momentum at all.
He simply took the extra free time, bought into the $25k High Roller and chopped two-handed with Paul Volpe before going on to win the trophy and extra $30k.
His take this time? $197,758.
It's a good time to be Anthony Zinno. Updates from Zinno's High Roller win via Kevmath on Twitter here.
3) Play for $9m Sunday Million Ticket for $1
The special $9m Sunday Million will run on Sunday at its usual time (2:15pm ET).
This time, though, the prize pool will be at least $9m and the winner is guaranteed $1m. If you're counting at home ... that's a very big prize pool.
