Details are still scarce regarding the accident he was involved in but the poker community is already reeling with sadness over the event.
Daniel "Kid Poker" Negreanu initially broke the news via Twitter and a number of other poker pros confirmed the information.
A native of Torrance, California, Young was known for his friendly demeanor at the poker table and talkative nature.
Young was a very skilled poker player with over $1.6 million in lifetime earnings including $615k from winning his first WSOP bracelet in a $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event in 2007.
Young beat a tough final table that included Dustin Dirksen and Nam Le to claim the title.

He also finished second to Chris Moore in the $10k Wynn Poker Classic back in 2008.
Primarily a No-Limit Hold’em player Young most recently had a solid 2012 WSOP that saw him win over $40k and make a deep run in the Main Event.
Young also played online and was known by the name youngluck on PokerStars.
