Sahamies went on a 2,521-hand run that saw him win huge sessions against Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and Ben “Ben86” Tollerene.
When all was done and said, Sahamies had racked up a total of $424k in profit this week.
The Finn is still down nearly $500k on PokerStars but it was right around this time last year that Sahamies began a giant turnaround that eventually saw him finish 2011 with over a million in profit.
Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky, Chris “Genius28” Lee and Zypherin also made waves in the high stakes online games this week and we’ve got a complete breakdown below.
Top 10 Weekly Online Winners
Ilari Sahamies was the biggest winner this week but Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky gave him a serious run for his money as the U.S.-born pro won just under $300k.
Sulsky tends to fly under the radar but it’s getting hard to ignore the young pro as he’s now the biggest winner on PokerStars this year with $2 million in profit.
Meanwhile the other Ben, Ben “Ben86” Tollerene, survived a late-week meltdown against Sahamies to take down $183k.
It’s a pretty sweet time to be Chris “Genius28” Lee. The former Duke University student won recently won his first SCOOP title and dragged in another $215k in the high-stakes games this week.
Add in his first WSOP bracelet from last summer and Lee is quickly establishing himself as one of the best up-and-coming players in the game.

Top 10 Weekly Online Losers
It’s getting so bad for Zypherin that the poker media is starting to speculate the man behind the account is none other than Canadian billionaire Guy Laliberte.
Zypherin continued his extended tailspin in 2012 by losing $554k this week.
To date Zypherin has lost an astounding $2.4 million to take the dubious position as the biggest loser on PokerStars this year. Very few poker players have bankrolls that could handle that level of downswing.
Laliberte was famously rumored to have lost over $15 million on a collection of accounts on Full Tilt Poker in the late 2000s.
Meanwhile high stakes killer Dan “W00ki3z” Cates, known as jungleman12 on Full Tilt, has come back to the high stakes games on PokerStars to mixed reviews.
He immediately jumped to a $144k profit in his first week back but has since lost that amount and another $146k to put him in the red.
