After dropping close to $200k the previous day, Sahamies bounced back with a 1,621-hand 11-hour session that saw him finish with $154k.
Sahamies primarily stuck to $100/$200 PLO with heads-up matches against Terken89 and Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky and later some 6-max matches against EireAbu, Domce, LuckyGump, Deldar182 and the aforementioned Sauce123.
The Finn has been a man possessed this week and has recorded nearly 5,000 hands on PokerStars since Sunday.
After last night’s victory Sahamies is up a total of $544k this week alone and has reduced his overall negative in 2012 to just -$280k. Not bad considering he nearly hit -$1 million in February.
Sahamies essentially switched spots with Sauce123 last night, as Sulsky was the biggest loser with $157k in damage. The majority of Sulsky’s losses went directly to Sahamies.
Fortunately for Sulsky he had some pretty good company as pros Kanu7 (-$84k), EireAbu (-$67k), Ben86 (-$60k) and Phil “MrSweets28” Galfond (-$57k) all dipped into the negative last night.
Alexey “LuckyGump” Makarov (+$154k) was technically the biggest winner last night as he barely edged Sahamies by less than $20.
WSOP bracelet winner Chris “Genius28” Lee also had a fantastic night hitting $106k in profit.
Sam “tr1cky7” Trickett must be away from the high stakes games in Macau right now because he found time to win $50k in the online games last night.
