The application, reported by Pokerfuse.com, is for a category 2 license with the AGCC that would permit Orinic to handle gaming funds and offer full online gaming services.
This news comes on the heels of urgent customer service job openings posted by another major Full Tilt subsidiary, Pocket Kings LTD.
And it’s all serving to bolster hopes that the Groupe Bernard Tapie acquisition deal is indeed going through.
Orinic previously held a category 1 license with the AGCC, which did not allow the handling of online gaming funds.
That license was suspended as a result of the hearings between Full Tilt Poker and the AGCC following Black Friday but Orinic was the only company within the Full Tilt family that wasn’t stripped of its operating license entirely.
This latest license application was submitted on March 23 and is now approaching the end of a two-week window in which objections can be raised.
Orinic was originally incorporated in Alderney in January, 2011 in order to bring Full Tilt Poker to Switzerland.
