Sahamies, who is trying to fight his way out of a massive hole he dug earlier this year, took on Sander “Berndsen12” Berndsen, Jens “Jeans89” Kyllonen, Rafi Amit and RaiseOnce in rapid succession last night.
Every match took place in $100/$200 Pot-Limit Omaha and Sahamies began his night by taking Dutch pro Berndsen heads-up for $52k in 110 hands.
From there Sahamies beat Rafi Amit for $98k and then fellow Finn Jeans89 for $42k.
It was all leading up to an epic battle 6-Max battle with RaiseOnce, the rumored account of Phil Ivey, Jeans89 and Rafi Amit where Sahamies dominated. After 196 hands Sahamies left the table with $176k in profit.
At the end of the night Sahamies finished with $316k in just under 1,000 hands. The massive win goes a long way to getting Sahamies back to even for the year. He’s now down about $500k in 2012 after being down more than $800k earlier this week.
RaiseOnce finally recorded a nice profit as well. In 441 hands RaiseOnce picked up $163k, which is one of the account’s biggest wins since re-activating last fall. After last night’s session RaiseOnce is up $93k on the year.
Some of the other players to escape with victories last night included doncarignano (+$229k), Berndsen12 (+$83k) and Johnthefast (+$77k).
The evening wasn’t as kind to Jeans89 who took a massive $239k hit in 2,310 hands last night. Fortunately for Jeans89, with nearly $2 million in profit this year, he’s one of the few people that can afford that kind of hit.
Rafi Amit also had a miserable night as he lost $153k in 2,457. The underrated Israeli pro is still up $247k on the year.
Right behind Amit was Viktor “Isildur1” Blom who had a very forgettable session that saw him lose $122k. It was a very short session (for Blom anyways) as he only played 433 hands.
1II|1II|1iI| (-$120k) and ChaoRen160 (-$75k) rounded out the bottom five. For more information be sure to check our online poker stats section.
