That’s the general consensus after the Californian pro won the $10,000 2-7 Limit Triple Draw for the second straight year at the 2015 WSOP last night.
Le outlasted an incredibly stacked final table that included Phil Galfond and Calvin Anderson to lock up his second WSOP bracelet and $322,756.
Interestingly Le doesn’t have a single cash since winning the 2014 edition of the same tournament so it’s clear Le saves his run good for 2-7 Triple Draw.
Calvin Anderson Out Early, Max Casal Surprises
Despite a very tough final table it was actually the lesser-known Max Casal from San Clemente, CA, who provided the biggest challenge for Le.
Casal made it all the way to heads-up play against Le and nearly overcame a significant chip deficit before before finally hitting the rail as the runner-up finisher.
Le and Casal play together regularly at Commerce casino so Le was very familiar with his game.
The $199,438 for second place was by far the biggest live score of Casal’s career.
Surprisingly online wizard Calvin “Cal42688” Anderson was the first player to bust at the final table coming in seventh for $35k.
Here’s a complete look at the final table payouts according to WSOP.com:
