888poker announced it signed the young German as an ambassador for the site earlier today.

The three-time WSOP bracelet winner will join a pro team that already includes Sofia Lövgren, Nico Villa-Lobos and Jackie Glazier.

Nitsche brings the most WSOP experience and success out of everyone currently on the 888poker roster.

Nitsche Starts Out with a Win

Dominik Nitsche burst onto the poker scene in 2009 with a bang, winning his first ever live event and a solid $381,030.

The event took place in Mar del Plata, Argentina, and was part of the Latin American Poker Tour so Nitsche had to pave his way through an incredibly difficult field of South American and North American players.

Since then, his only way was up. He’s won three WSOP bracelets, one in 2012 and two in 2014. Two of those times he beat enormous fields.

His first bracelet was in a $1,000 NLHE event with 4,620 players, where he won a staggering $654,797.

Nitsche’s second bracelet came in the WSOP National Championship where he won $352,800 right before the beginning of the World Series.

Only two weeks later he beat another 2,043 entrants in a $1,000 WSOP event to win $335,659.

He’s the youngest player ever to win three bracelets.

Nitsche Brings $4m in Lifetime Winnings

On top of that, he won the first World Poker Tour event in South Africa in 2012 for a little over $200k, only to come back the following year and make the final table again, eventually finishing fourth.

Nitsche's winnings have already passed the $4-million mark and he’s only 24 years old. It’s a mystery why poker rooms haven’t been queuing at his door with pro contracts.

Since his win in Mar del Plata, Nitsche has earned himself no less than 86 entries in the Hendonmob poker database, scoring on all continents, which brings him up to number three on the German GPI as well as the lead in this year’s POY race.

Nitsche has also made a name for himself as an expert poker commentator on the European Poker Tour.

His friendly, outgoing style as earned him a large number of friends and fans on the tour.

He’s also got a mind of his own and he’s not shy to voice it. When numerous players started complaining about the growing difficulty of poker, Nitsche went the other way in a famous PokerListings interview and said, “Everybody still sucks at poker, including me”.

Perhaps Nitsche's most prominent feature, though, is his restlessness.

He probably travels the globe more days a year than any other professional.

Together with the likes of Sofia Lövgren, Nico Villa-Lobos, Jackie Glazier, and Akira Ohyama, he’s going to represent 888poker from now on at live events all around the world.

At the moment, he’s in Las Vegas and has already added two tournament cashes added to his résumé.
