1) Poker Pros, You Have a Problem
Still have designs on becoming a professional poker player?
It's not easy these days. Not that it ever was "easy," really. (Well ok maybe it was for a time in 2005).
We've always held fast to the idea poker is a game best played for fun (and occasional profit) than a living, and more and more pros are coming around to that idea, too.
The goal should be to beat a game, not THE game, right?
Despite being one of the most successful poker professionals in the history of the game, Daniel Negreanu kinda sorta feels the same way.
Or that at the very least if you REALLY want to play professional poker, you better take it very, very seriously.
Read his "Foolproof Plan to Becoming a Professional Poker Player" to see if you have what it takes.
2) Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies Raps in New Video
Finnish poker pro Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies is known for elite PLO skills and salty language in the chatbox while playing online poker.
But did you know he also likes to spit mad rhymes?
At least that’s what we’ve surmised from this new video on YouTube (our Finnish could be better, honestly).
We’re gonna go out on a limb and say this is probably NSFW in Finland:
3) bladsonpoker Wins $1m in Absurd Spin & Go
There have already been numerous winners in PokerStars' $1m Spin & Go’s but for the first-time ever we have video of the latest one.
Fortunately Jamie “PokerStaples” Staples was streaming on Twitch.tv at the time and quickly switched over to spectate.
Both third place and second place paid out $100k so all three players were essentially playing for $900k more, which is pretty sick to say the least.
