It was the sixth event of the popular Live Local series, this time on the outskirts of the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.
As with the previous event in Marbella, Spain, more than 200 players registered for the main event.
This meant that the €40,000 prize pool the casino expected was slightly superseded and amounted to €41,904.
Antunes Scoops €10k, Locals Take Top 3
Thirty-four of the 216 players who went on to play the 2-day event qualified online on 888poker - some possibly for as little as one cent.
Twenty-six of them made it into the money and earned a minimum of €482.
In the end three local players fought for the title with Ricardo Antunes getting the better of Manuel Borges and Sergion Bacala.
Antunes, a regular at the cash-game tables in the Lisbon area, earned himself a check for €9,449 and the priceless feeling of winning an international live poker tournament.

3. Sergion Bacala - €4,568
The event finished late on Sunday and the team only had a week to relocate to the city secretly known as the poker capital of Europe – Vienna, Austria.

This weekend 888poker Live Local moves to the spot where all recreational players in Europe want to go at least once - Vienna, one of the most beautiful and traditional cities on the continent.
The next event takes place in the Poker Royal Card Casino in the Wiener Neustadt.
