1) Pratyush Buddiga Outlasts Larry Wright in Aria $25k
Former spelling bee champ Pratyush Buddiga has established himself as a skilled high roller with big scores at the Guangdong Millions and APPT ACOP High Roller.
Now has an outright victory to his name.
Buddiga outlasted 59 players and beat Larry Wright heads-up in the latest Aria $25,000 high roller to win $543,683 early this morning.
The heads-up match between Buddiga and Wright proved to be one of epic nature with nearly four hours needed to settle a winner.
Wright took home $343,380 for second place but actually donated most of his winnings to charity.
Brian Rast, Roger Sippl, Max Altergott, Jason Koon and Doug Polk also made the final table.
2) Emails Surface About Aaron Sorkin's Adaptation of Molly’s Game
The infamous Sony Studios email leak is still in full swing and details have emerged about Aaron Sorkin's proposed adaptation of Molly’s Game.
According to a variety of outlets Sony Chair Amy Pascal wasn’t pleased that Sorkin wanted to adapt Molly’s Game.
Pascal emailed her colleagues saying that Sorkin is “broke” and then implied he was sleeping with the author and that’s why he wanted to adapt the book so badly.
Sorkin has since refuted both of those claims in the New York Times in an op-ed titled “The Sony Hack and the Yellow Press.”
We still don’t quite understand how you film Molly’s Game without Tobey Maguire, Leo DiCaprio and Ben Affleck getting on board, which seems unlikely.
If Sorkin can’t do the adaptation of Molly’s Game perhaps he can write the screenplay for the eventual movie about the ongoing Sony Hack. You know it’s coming.
