“The EPT was born in Barcelona so it’s very fitting to celebrate EPT’s 100th event in true style and with unforgettable poker,” said EPT President Edgar Stuchly.
“EPT Barcelona is one of the most popular tour stops and attracts players from all over the world for the fantastic mix of beaches, iconic architecture, party atmosphere and world class poker,” he continued.
Playing out August 16-27 the EPT will once again partner with the regional Estrellas Poker Tour to offer players a massive 12-day poker extravaganza.
Last year both the EPT and Estrellas main events set records with 1,798 and 1,234 players, respectively, and with 20 extra tables added this year staff expects crowds to be even bigger.
Since the EPT began in 2004 the tour has hosted over 180,000 poker players, visited 16 countries and awarded over €535 million in prizes.
