During August PokerStars players who win freerolls or earn enough points to qualify for SilverStar VIP status will gain entry into the $1 million VIP Giveaway which runs September 2-6.
The giveaway will play out as five daily 'no-skill' tournaments. Players who qualify will get a ticket to the tournament and watch as they are automatically put all-in every hand until a winner is determined.
Each tournament will award $200,000 in cash prizes and tickets to the World Championship of Online Poker on PokerStars.
Across all five tournaments PokerStars will give away $400,000 in WCOOP tickets and $600,000 in cash prizes.
Players who make SilverStar VIP status by earning at least 500 VPPs in August will gain entry into one of the VIP Giveaway tournaments. Players who make Goldstar will get two tickets while Platinumstar players will receive three.
And as a special thank-you from PokerStars, VIP status earners from July will also receive tickets at a rate of one for Silverstar and Goldstar players, two for PlatinumStar, Supernova and Supernova Elites.
