So good that Jonathan Duhamel won it in 2010, Marc-Andre Ladouceur almost did the same in 2012 and now Marc McLaughlin is part of the 2013 WSOP November Nine.
McLaughlin enters the final table third in chips with 26,525,000.
Consistent with the trend of Canadian players dominating the WSOP this year McLaughlin put on an impressive performance on Day 7 to jump from the middle of the pack in the final 27 all the way up to XX overall.
Part of the highly esteemed poker crew from Montreal that includes Duhamel, Ladouceur, Chris McClung, Jason Duval and more, McLaughlin has been a pro for the past six years.
He sticks mostly to cash games but dabbles enough in tournaments to have a solid $670,000 in live cashes.
One of those cashes? A 30th-place finish in the 2009 WSOP Main Event, good for over $250,000.
With another top 100 finish under his belt in just five years of playing the Main Event, McLaughlin clearly knows what he’s doing this deep is a legit threat to make it two titles in four years for Quebecois poker players.
