Ryan Riess: 2013 WSOP Main Event November Nine Bio

Riess has been particularly successful on the WSOP Circuit with four cashes, including a second place finish in Hammond for $239k. Riess lost to Josh Williams after a 17-hour marathon day of poker.

The young American had a decent WSOP this summer with three cashes including 11th in a $1k for $20,015.

A Michigan State University graduate, Riess follows Detroit sports religiously.

Riess also had a fervent fanbase during the playdown to nine and we expect there will be many shouts of “Riess the Beast! Riess the Beast!” during the final table as well.

The Michigan native has already secured the biggest score of his career and will have a shot at $8.3 million in November. Riess would be the first Main Event winner born in the 90s.

Riess wil take 25,875,000 to the final table, which puts him in fifth place overall.
