Thanks to the 2013 WSOP commencing last week the nosebleed games are now missing a few key players but that didn’t stop Blom, Gus Hansen, Kyle “KPR16” Ray and Sebastian “Seb86” Sabic from playing some big sessions over the weekend.

Blom recorded just under 1,000 hands on Full Tilt yesterday and got torched for a total of $302,818, according to highstakesdb.com.

Isildur1’s biggest losses came against Ilari Sahamies, Davin “mTw-DaviN” Georgi and vovtroy in the big FLO8 $2,000/$4,000 games. He lost $196k in those games alone.

The young Scandi made some cash back in $500/$1,000 No-Limit Hold’em but then lost another $100k in 2-7 Triple Draw. He’s still one of the biggest winners this year on Full Tilt with $2.3 million in profit.

Resurgent Gus Hansen Picks Up Another $100k

Blom’s FTP teammate Gus Hansen had a far better experience yesterday.

Hansen cleaned up in the big FLO8 games to end the day up $93k.

The Great Dane has plummeted since returning to Full Tilt Poker but slowly been grinding his way out of the red. He’s made up just over $800k in the last couple months.

It remains to be seen what texture the high-stakes games will have over this summer as players like Tom Dwan, Ben “bttech85” Tollerene, Phil Galfond and especially Phil “Polarizing” Ivey will spend a fair amount of time at the WSOP chasing bracelets.

On the other hand Europeans like Hansen and Blom will likely only show up for part of the WSOP.
