Villa-Lobos, who is the son of famous Brazilian guitarist Dado Villa-Lobos, took down Event 43-M $1,050 NLHE Main Event while gaucho47 overcame pro Joe Ebanks heads-up to win Event 44-H NLHE 8-Max.
Online player MLiz also outlasted 23,045 players to win $189,015 in Event 43-L NLHE Main Event. Not a bad return for the $109 buy-in.
PokerStars also took the time to announce that this year’s SCOOP generated a prizepool of $75.5 million, making it the biggest online series of all time.
Finally COOP crusher George Danzer finished on top of the overall 2013 SCOOP leaderboard and will receive a package to next year’s EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo.
Danzer played 130 events and earned 660 points. Other significant players in the top 10 included Cal “cal42688” Anderson in fourth (118 events, 525 points) and Shaun Deeb sixth (131 events, 515 points).
Here are some highlights from the last two events:
Villa-Lobos Takes Down Event 43-M, Randy Lew Fourth
Brazilian Nicolau “nicofellow” Villa-Lobos outlasted 4,039 players to win the enormous first-place prize of $472k in medium buy-in edition of the SCOOP Main Event.
Team PokerStars Pro Randy “nanonoko” Lew made an impressive run in Event 43-M before finally busting with Q-9 to pocket sevens.
Fortunately for Lew, he busted at an ideal time as the final four players had just hashed out a deal that left $40,000 for the winner.
Thanks to the deal Lew took down $368,445 for coming in fourth, easily the biggest online MTT score of his career.
That paved the way for an Argentina vs. Brazil final with Bostero10 against Villa-Lobos. This time it was Brazil that proved to be the victor as Villa-Lobos sealed the tournament with A-J over A-T.

Noted online pro Joe “ender555” Ebanks came within one player of winning his first SCOOP event yesterday.
Instead gaucho47 beat Ebanks heads-up to win Event 44-H $2,100 NLHE 8-Max for $339,375.
Ebanks had the chip lead at the final table and nearly went wire-to-wire but gaucho47 battled back heads-up to finally take the chip lead for good from Ebanks.
In the final hand Ebanks shoved with Q-9 and gaucho47 called with pocket eights. The eights held and gaucho47 helped himself to the first-place prize while Ebanks had to settle for $244k.
It was fortunate for gaucho47 that he won as this recently discovered graph indicated he’s had some problems online lately.
