While it’s true we usually think of the glory and amazing stories generated by the venerable tournament series it’s easy to forget it can also be very difficult to even cash in the thing.
In fact there are poker pros with multiple European poker titles and millions of online earnings that have been unable to get anything going at the WSOP.
We’ve compiled a number of stats from the last two WSOPs in Las Vegas (with the help of Arved Klöhn from PokerOlymp and the WSOP database) and we'll be posting them over the next few days, starting with who played the most tournaments without cashing.
It’s a sobering reminder how just how hard it is to win these things given that Mike "SirWatts" Watson is in the top 5 on the Global Poker Index.
