Winner of the largest buy-in tournament ever (the $1m Big One for One Drop) and poker's top career money-winner at over $23 million, Esfandiari has made history again by signing on as the first pro player to represent a US-licensed poker site.
UltimatePoker.com, the online poker arm of the UFC and one of the first licensed Nevada poker rooms ready to go online in 2013, announced today Esfandiari will be its first-ever Brand Ambassador.
"We're thrilled to have Antonio Esfandiari represent our company," Ultimate Poker Chairman Tom Breitling said in a release.
"Antonio is the ultimate champion and modern poker player. He brings the gaming lifestyle to the online arena with his work-hard, play-hard attitude."
Ultimate Poker is the latest venture of Ultimate Gaming, a company majority-owned by Station Casinos and one of the first companies to apply for and receive a Nevada online gaming license.
Esfandiari joins Easy Game subject and aspiring MMA pro Terrence Chan as an Ultimate Poker team member.
