Shak overcame a final table that included Sam Trickett, Antonio Esfandiari, Jonathan Duahamel, Dan “jungleman12” Cates, Tobias Reinkemeier, Jennifer Tilly and Talal Shakerchi.

The Pennsylvania-native outlasted uber-talented English grinder Trickett heads-up to take the top prize of $450,000.

The final table got off to a slow start as it took nearly five levels for the first player to bust. That player ended up being former chip leader Shakerchi.

After Shakerchi’s elimination the action heated up with the chip lead frequently flipping between players.

Shak would eventually grab the chip lead three-handed against Antonio Esfandiari and Trickett and never looked back.

Here’s a look at the complete payouts for the Party Poker Premier League VI:

1. Dan Shak - $450,000 2. Sam Trickett - $200,000 3. Antonio Esfandiari - $150,000 4. Jonathan Duahamel - $125,000 5. Dan “Jungleman12” Cates - $100,000 6. Tobias Reinkemeier - $70,000 7. Jennifer Tilly - $60,000 8. Talal Shakerchi - $45,000

Shak, primarily known for his business pursuits, is getting pretty hard to ignore in the poker world.

This year Shak has already finished fourth in the Aussie Millions $10k Main Event for $422,279 and fourth in the Aussie Millions $100k Challenge for $250,201.

He’s now up to $1.4 million in profit this year, which lifts him into the top 10 earners on the live tournament charts.

Ironically Trickett’s runner-up finish in the Premier League for $200k catapults him past Scott Seiver to take top spot on 2013 money list with $2.3 million.

Meanwhile Tobias Reinkemeier’s sixth place finish for $70k was enough to push him past countryman Igor Kurganov for fifth place overall.
