Rettenmaier, who’s already knocked off back-to-back WPT titles this year along with two more six-fgure scores, added another impressive score by knocking off an impossibly tough final table.
Outlasting chip leader coming into the day Sorel Mizzi, PokerStars pro Jason Mercier, veteran pros Fabian Quoss and Juha Helppi, WPT Prague winner Marcin Wydrowski and WSOP bracelet winner Aubin Cazals, Rettenmaier found no soft spots on his way to the title.
With over 110 players in the event, Rettenmaier also scored a tidy €365,300 for his win while Quoss bagged €210,300 for his runner-up finish.
Mizzi, who began the day with an almost million-chip lead, crashed out in fifth
Mercier, who lost a 1 million+ pot with AA to AK late last night that would have given him the chip lead, busted in seventh.
The official final nine and payouts:
1. Marvin Rettenmaier €365,300 2. Fabien Quoss €210,300 3. Juha Helppi €121,800 4. Philippe Ktorza €96,900 5. Sorel Mizzi €74,800 6. Marcin Wydrowski €55,500 7. Jason Mercier €44,200 8.
