The €50k Re-entry event will take place from Oct. 2-4, 2012, in Cannes, France. The tournament will be a non-bracelet event but re-entries will be available until the second level of play on Day 2.

Malaysian businessmen Richard Yong and Paul Phua have both verbally committed to playing the massive event.

Yong and Phua made their WSOP debut in the $1 million buy-in BIG ONE for ONE DROP this summer. They had previously played in the Aussie Millions Super High Roller events for the last few years.

The WSOPE returns to Cannes, France, from Sept. 21-Oct. 4, 2012, with a total of seven bracelet events including the €10,450 Main Event, which begins Sept. 29.

Last year American Eli Fox outlasted 593 players to win $1.8 million.

“We can’t wait to get back to Cannes for WSOP Europe, where the stars of poker come to shine,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart, “We truly believe 2012 is the year we accomplish our goal to make WSOPE the richest and most prestigious event on the European calendar.”

Super High Roller events have become very popular on the poker tournament circuit with most stops now including at least one of the prestigious events.

Most recently Dan Smith won nearly one million Euros for taking down the €50k buy-in side event at EPT Barcelona.
