Just announced today, the 22-year-old from Gottingen, Germany, joins Mickey “mement_mori” Petersen as one of the most recent additions to the team.
Schneider got his start just a few years ago in nine-man $5 SNGs and was even only playing $100 SNGs at the start of 2011, but he’s rocketed up the stakes in just ten months and now primarily plays $5k heads-up sit-and-gos.
He's also on the verge of breaking PokerStars' all-time VPP (VIP Player Points) record set by fellow Team Online member Kevin 'WizardOfAhhs' Thurman.
To break the record he’ll have to earn more than 3,055,385 VPPs before the end of 2011. Right now he has around 2,700,000 with just over a month to go.
Among his other accomplishments Schneider has played Team PokerStars Pro Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom in a series of heads-up SNGs and also found some success in MTTs with a recent fourth-place finish in the Sunday Warm-Up.
Team PokerStars Online now has 26 members including Petersen, Thurman, Shane Schleger, Randy “nanonoko” Lew, Andrew Brokos and Tyler Frost.
