No Phil Ivey. No Michael Mizrachi. Not even a Bryan Devonshire or Ben Lamb.
In other words, no real "marquee" name driving the poker pro ship towards the biggest final table of the year. Daniel Negreanu even says he's only heard of five of them.
But that doesn't mean we're short on poker talent, though. Or fantastic poker stories. Not at all.
Greg Merson already has a WSOP bracelet this year. Yuval Bronshtein won two FTOPS events on the same day and is a serial WSOP casher.
Paul Volpe has almost $4 million in online earnings. German Jan Heitmann is a PokerStars pro. Chip leader Marc Ladoceur went deep in the Main Event just last year and is good friends with 2010 champ Jonathan Duhamel.
Norwegian Elisabeth Hille works as a waitress most of the year. France's Gaelle Baumann joins her as one of two women chasing the final table.
So there's definitely plenty to watch and get excited about.
What they aren't, however, are big tweeters. Only about 1/3 of the remaining players seem to even have Twitter accounts )for now, at least) and their output is, well, underwhelming.
Still, if you want to get to know a poker player you don't know their tweets are a good place to start. Here's how the remaining peeps let their followers know they're about to tackle the biggest day of their poker lives:
On to day 7!!!! 27 players left and I have 9,735,000 while the average is 7 million!
