Hack built a stack of 457,000, which was enough to top Day 2c but even he will be looking up to Gaelle Baumann who finished with 505,800 on Day 2a/b.
Day 2c saw 2,300 players from Day 1c return to the Rio with hopes of surviving through another day. In the end about 900 players made it through the gauntlet.
2011 WSOP Player of the Year Ben Lamb finally emerged in a big way on Day 2c after an extremely quiet 2012 WSOP.
Lamb made four final tables in the 2011 WSOP, including the November Nine, but hasn’t even recorded a cash in this year’s Series - albeit playing in very few events.
Lamb steamrolled his way to 271,000 chips on Day 2c.

Brunson Busts from 2012 Main Event
Doyle Brunson was very much on the fence about playing this year’s WSOP but decided to register last minute on the last starting day.
Brunson got off to a good start on Day 1c building an 80k stack. That stack simply wasn't enough as he busted mid-way through Day 2c.
Sadly it may be the last time we see Brunson in the Main Event as he’s frequently mentioned he doesn’t care for the long hours.
There were plenty of other players who followed Brunson’s scooter out the door as Gus Hansen, Jennifer Tilly, Tim West, Matt Savage, Ted Forrest, Kirk Morrison, Noah Schwartz, Jamie Gold and David “Doc” Sands all busted.
Swedish online poker star Viktor Blom, who was playing in his first WSOP Main Event, busted in the last level of the night.
Blom didn’t make a ton of noise at this year’s WSOP, only cashing twice, but did finish 14th in the $50k Players Championship for $105,235.
