Today in the 3-Bet we bring you another stunning result from a woman at the World Series, an AARP-themed rant from recent WSOP final tablist Norman Chad, plus a French silent movie submission for the Jungleman WSOP Main Event seat giveaway.
Any suggestions for the 3-Bet can be left in the comments.
1) Jackie Glazier Continues Female Success at WSOP
Two kinds of players have been enjoying big success at the WSOP so far this summer: Pros and women.
Australian Jackie Glazer is the latest example as she locked up at least $458,996 by making it to heads-up play against Greg Ostrander in Event 41, $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em.
Glazier and Ostrander reached heads-up play early Monday morning and decided to delay the match at roughly 2am. They will return at 1pm to decide a winner.
Glazier holds a big lead heading into the home stretch. Here are the chip counts:
Jackie Glazier - 9,480,000Greg Ostrander - 3,070,000
This final table represents by far the biggest result of Glazier's career. Previous to this tournament she had just over $400k in lifetime tournament results dating back to 2008.
Barely missing out on this final table was UK pro and two-time bracelet winner JP Kelly. The Brit exited in 10th place for $41,976.
Dylan Hortin made his second final table of the 2012 WSOP, finishing ninth for $53,126.
2) Norman Chad Makes Final Table, Gripes About Internet Kids
In typical older-person fashion WSOP commentator Norman Chad posted a new column bemoaning the online poker generation and their social skills, or lack thereof, while simultaneously making his first World Series final table.
We applaud him for harnessing the power of the internet to complain about the products of the internet.
Chad finished 6th in the $2,500 Omaha Hi-Lo Split event, earning $36,093 and outlasting the somewhat comically-named Wing Wong.
The voice of the World Series had two WSOP cashes before tonight, both in Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo. This was his biggest score by far.

Meanwhile, since Black Friday, some of the younger, online players have stumbled into card rooms — such as my poker home in Los Angeles, Hollywood Park — with all the social prowess of a fire hydrant. They don’t talk or listen very well — uh, it’s called a conversation — because they have been trapped in their bedrooms since their teen years, shades down, with the laptop screen illuminating their entire world six to 12 hours a day, clicking “bet,” “raise” or “fold.”
Anyway, to all of you online and offline pokerati, I’m asking you to realize we are surrounded by fellow humans.
So let’s interact with these other Homo sapiens in a more civilized fashion.
3) Silent French Film Vies for Jungleman Good Deed Giveaway
Party Poker and Dan “Jungleman12” Cates have teamed up to give away a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat to someone who’s never played it before.
Cates did the same thing in 2011 by way of a raffle but decided to make it interactive this time around. All you have to do to enter is create a video of yourself doing good deeds and tweet it @Junglemandan and @partypoker.
A number of entries have been submitted but none makes us laugh like this one by French player Charles Nda.
