The yet-to-be-identified nasud 11 burned through 1,242 hands of mostly $50/$100 PLO and picked up a total of $76k.
It was a much-needed win for nasud 11 as his entire year has essentially been one downward trend. Before last night’s session he was down nearly $700,000 on the year.
At the complete opposite end of the spectrum is Rui “PepperoniF” Cao who has seemingly done nothing but win this year.
Cao stuck mostly to $50/$100 6-Max games last night and crushed his opponents for $65,952 over 521 hands.
The Chinese-born pro has been an absolute monster in the high stakes online games this year and is now up a total of $933k on the year. It’s good enough for a spot on the top 10 winners of the year although he’s still trailing Rafi Amit who has amassed a total of $1.8 million for first place overall.
Andreas “skjervoy” Torbergsen is the second biggest winner overall this year and he added $57k to his total last night. The Norwegian is now up $1.32 million playing online poker in 2011.
Phil “MrSweets28” Galfond was the only other player to crack the $50k mark last night as he picked up $50,471 in 1,534 hands of PLO.
Galfond won a monster $128,919 pot playing $100/$200 6-Max PLO when he had the fortune of flopping a set of kings against GARFIELD25 and azn_baller3.
The former Las Vegas-based pro has had a bittersweet year but is still holding on to a profit of $232k on PokerStars.
Meanwhile mickan1984 couldn’t escape big brother last night as he was clobbered for an even $100,000. Micken1984 only showed up a few months ago and has dropped like a rock in that period. He’s now down a total of $157k and has yet to get into the black this year.
Ben “Ben86” Tollerene also had a regrettable evening as he dropped $76k over 1,682 hands. The U.S.-born pro has had trouble finding consistency this year and after peaking at $338k in profit on the year has fallen back to $164k.
Moirhums (-$61k), verve.oasis (-$60k) and takechip (-$54k) rounded out the top five losers last night.
