The 2012 PokerStars SCOOP has also drawn the most participants in online poker history with 526,154 entries, crushing the previous best of 461,936 in the 2010 SCOOP.
With the US market previously making up a large percentage of players, the rest of the world has picked up the slack with 156 countries represented and over 130 making cashes.
A small group of Americans who have relocated to other parts of the world have also been participating with several, including runaway Player of the Series Shaun Deeb, dominating at the tables.
