For over a month players have been able to play Zoom Poker on PokerStars and it’s quickly become one of the most popular variants on the site.
Similar to the currently inactive Rush Poker on Full Tilt, Zoom Poker allows players the chance to instantly switch to a new table after they fold with a new hand waiting for them.
“Zoom Poker offers people a different way to play poker,” said Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu.
“Recreational players, who want more constant action, will be able to fold instantly and wait for better hands, while pro grinders will be able to get in hundreds of more hands an hour and win more. On top of all that, it’s just so much fun to play!”
The fast-paced nature of the game has proven popular to players looking to increase the amount of hands they play and earn even more frequent player rewards.
PokerStars currently offers 21 real-money “pools” of Zoom Poker in No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha although each pool has the capacity for 1,500 players.
At the time this article was published there was already over 5,000 players in the Zoom Poker section of PokerStars.
PokerStars also took the time to release Zoom for Mobile on the Android platform this week.
Players of PokerStars.com, PokerStars.eu and PokerStars.net can now enjoy Zoom Poker on both Android tablets and phones.
Zoom Poker is set for a world-wide release on mobile devices (including iPhone and iPad) this summer.
