Wigg, who took down EPT Copenhagen on Season 6 of the PokerStars European Poker Tour, barely edged out former Snowfest champ Geshkenbein to take the lead in the day’s closing hands.
Fresh from a win in the EPT Berlin €2k Turbo Bounty event Wigg amassed 695,000 today, good for the number one spot among the 102 players who advanced to Day 3.
Chasing Wigg and Geshkenbein in the race to the €825,000 waiting for first are accomplished players including inaugural EPT Berlin winner Kevin MacPhee who finished the day with 390,700.
Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst is just a few steps behind with 374,500 and Dan “KingDan” Smith is through with 330,000.
Philipp Gruissem and Michiel Brummelhuis both finished with 311,000 while Swede William Thorson bagged 268,500.
Also advancing to Day 3, albeit with less than average stacks, are WSOP bracelet winners Joe Ebanks, Davidi Kitai and JP Kelly, Spanish Team PokerStars Pro member Ana Marquez, Canadian high-stakes pro Will Molson.
Belgium’s Charlotte Van Brabander finished second-last with just 40,500.

Vamplew Bubbles, Ten Get Paid
EPT London champion David Vamplew from Scotland earned the dubious honor of 2012 Berlin bubble boy, taking a bad beat to go broke one spot off the money.
Vamplew was all-in with pocket kings against pocket queens and watched a queen hit the flop.
After the Scot made his exit ten players hit the rail, all taking €7,500.
First out once the money kicked in was two-time WSOP bracelet winner Bill Chen, followed by Canadian EPT regular Jeff Sarwer in 107th.
Falling short of the many and busting in the early stages of Day 2 was a host of big names, including Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Sam Chartier, Martin Staszko, Boris Becker, recent Irish Open champion Kevin Vandersmissen and French poker legend Michel Abecassis.
