888poker Partners with WSOP for Upcoming Sao Paolo Circuit Event

The WSOP and 888poker are taking their show on the road to South America.

888poker, the main sponsor of the WSOP in Las Vegas, will also parter with the WSOP to present WSOPC in Sao Paulo.

It’s the first time the WSOP has ever run an event in South America and it seems like the perfect time as the Brazilian poker boom is in full swing.

Twenty Five Events for WSOPC

The WSOPC festival will take place at the Transamerica Expo Center in Sao Paolo from Oct. 26-Nov. 2 with 25 different tournaments on tap.

Highlights from the schedule include the R$580 (€160) Brazilian Storm, the R$20,000 (€5500) Super High Roller, the R$3950 (€1100) Main and the R$888 (€240) Crazy Eights event, modeled after the tournament of the same name at the World Series in Las Vegas.

Brazil is the fastest growing market in poker today, so it’s no surprise that the WSOPC picked the home country of November Niner Bruno Foster, who’ll certainly be on hand to represent 888poker.

WSOP Director Gregory Chochon said:
