1) Teen Sensation Veronika Pavlikova Not Fazed By Big Win
If most of us won a poker tournament for $92k at age 18. we'd be pretty impressed with ourselves.
For Czech teenager Veronika Pavlikova, it's just another score.
Claims of her being the “new Annette” may be a bit premature, she says, but Pavlikova doesn’t think her win at the France Poker Series Snowfest event in Evian this month was a fluke either:
"Yes, it was my first big live tournament result, but I have plenty of good scores in online tournaments as well. I was quite happy that I had achieved a good result in live poker (after playing about 20 live tournaments), but in many ways it was just like another online hit.
Playing as xbet_kiddi online, Pavlikova already has about $225k in online winnings. Not quite Annette territory yet, but that’s where she'd like to go - and her hyper-aggressive style could help her get there:
"I love to play extremely aggressive poker, keeping opponents in constant pressure ... I don't think you can compare me to Annette; she is by far better than me. But obviously I would like to achieve some similar results. She has always been my number one female poker idol."

2) When You Play 24-Hour Poker Sessions, You Lose Track of Time
Sometimes when you’re playing multi-million dollar cash games in Macau, it’s hard to keep your schedule tight.
Due to play in Group A Heat 1 at the Party Poker Premier League on Tuesday, Tom "durrrr" Dwan was notably absent when play got underway.
Turns out a series of travel fumbles gave him a fairly small window to make it on time:
Same old story, really. First you don't hear back from Sam Trickett. Then you miss your helicopter ride. Happens to the best of us.
He’s there now, though, and managed to turn his blinded-off stack into a fourth-place finish, $12k and six points in Heat 1 anyway.
Phil Laak won Group A Heat 1, Patrik Antonius won Group B Heat 1 and Tony G. just topped Erik Seidel to take Group A Heat 2 today.
Each group will play four heats with the top three point earners in each group moving on to the final.

3) Hellmuth has Stones; iSeriesLIVE a Poker Revolution
The much-anticipated iSeriesLIVE is underway in Dublin and after watching the first few hours this morning we have to say it lives up to its billing.
After about 35 hands, all 10 players are still alive and the action has been solid. Faraz Jaka dominated early before a KK v. AA cooler, Daniel Negreanu is making a move and the banter between Devilfish and the table is, well, Devilfishian.
With $100k on the line plus live betting on a ton of different props, all streamed live with commentary and hole cards, it may or may not be the future of poker - but it is pretty engaging.
Phil Hellmuth thinks it's the next big thing, at least, calling it a “poker revolution” in an interview yesterday. He also said he has “the stones” to go with a big bluff and mimed holding a hobo sack, though, so take that for what it’s worth.
And he thinks Ireland is a continent.
