Sahamies and Sauce123 have been gunning for each other all week and neither is showing any signs of backing down.
Last night the pair played a 643-hand session of heads-up $100/$200 PLO on PokerStars.
The session only lasted a couple hours but in the last 15 minutes, the following beast of a hand transpired with Sauce123 sitting with $56,269 while his Finnish opponent had $101,446.
Sauce123 bet his option and made it $500 to play pre-flop. Sahamies responded by firing $1,680 into the pot.
The American-born Sulsky called and that brought a 5♣ 4♣ 3♠ flop.
Sahamies immediately checked but Sauce123 bet $1,888. Sahamies woke up and made a massive raise to $9,502. Sauce123 called.
The turn came 8♠ and the chips were in the middle in the blink of an eye. Sahamies bet $22k, Sauce123 shoved for his last $44,847 and Sahamies called.
The cards?
Ilari FIN: 7♠ 6♥ A♠ 9♥ (Eight-high straight)
Sauce123: 6♦ 2♠ 3♣ 4♠ (Six-high straight)
Despite flopping the joint (not to mention some full house outs) Sauce123 was absolutely crushed by the turn (we have a great PLO strategy article on that exact issue). The board finished with a meaningless 5♦ and Sahamies picked up the epic $112k pot.

The session ended shortly after that with Sauce123 down a total of $131k. Sahamies went on to play a few more tables against other opponents and continued his hot streak by winning a total of $152k.
Sahamies is up well over $500k this week and looking to erase the massive losses he accumulated earlier this year. Check our online poker stats section for more information.
