Today in the 3-Bet we find Daniel Negreanu getting banned from the 2+2 forums, PokerStars players going crazy for ZOOM poker and ElkY getting the VIP helicopter treatment in the French Alps.
1) Negreanu Temp-Banned for vlog Pushing iSeriesLIVE
Daniel Negreanu is at the center of a mild firestorm today after getting a temporary ban (one day) from the 2+2 forums for posting his latest vlog which promotes the new iSeriesLIVE tournament.
Negreanu gets a cut of the betting action in the iSeries and as 2+2 has a staunch “no advertising for free” policy, despite it being posted in a thread dedicated to his Weekly Rant, DNegs was temp-banned. Explained the moderator:
Daniel started a thread about iSeriesLive 2 days ago, for which he was infracted, as anyone would have been.
2 days later, he spams links to his vblog in two different threads, and the first 6:20 of the linked video is about iSeriesLive. For this he gets a one day tempban - such an easy call, no matter who it is.
Given that Negreanu pushes 2+2 quite frequently in his interviews, it still rubbed some users the wrong way. Negreanu has also vowed to tear into it in next week’s vlog.

2) ZOOM Boom! Zoom Gobbling Up Traffic on PokerStars
How excited were low-stakes poker players for the launch of PokerStars' speed-poker product ZOOM?
According to PokerScout's weekly traffic report a full 25% of all cash-game players at PokerStars have been at the Zoom tables.
Not only that, because they play hands so much faster it's also now accounting for almost half of all the cash-game hands on the site. Which is an awful lot of hands.
Games are already offered in Limit Hold'em, No-Limit Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo and in stakes from .01/.02 to .50/$1. SNGs and more are on the way, so it's only going to get bigger.

3) Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier Gets Baller Transpo to Evian
There are few cooler ways to arrive at a poker tournament than by helicopter.
Especially if the tournament is being held in the French Alps in a town renowned for its fancy water.
Bertrand Grospellier, given his status as pretty much the leading French poker man of all time, gets a few perks in his home country and this week that included a helicopter ride to the PokerStars.fr French Poker Series in Evian.
Based on the pic (left) and his tweet, it was fairly nice:

Based on his weee! and his outfit in the pic, you can clearly take the boy out of the Starcraft but you can't can't the Starcraft out of the boy.
