Any suggestions for a future 3-Bet, feel free to drop a note in the comments.
Today in the 3-Bet we find the state of Hawaii spinning its wheels on gambling again, Pot-Limit Omaha pros sharing their secrets and the Phil Hellmuth rap machine bringing joy to children everywhere.
1) Hawaii Hedges Bets on Casino Gambling and Online Poker Again
There are only two states left in the US without any form of legalized gambling: Hawaii and Utah.
And as our Moms always told us growing up, if it’s only you and the state of Utah doing something, it’s probably a good idea to reevaluate.
Hawaii has been on the brink of approving gambling dozens of times over the last 10 years but never quite got over the hump.
Things looked promising this year when legal experts decided the Wire Act only applied to sports betting, but Hawaiian Rep. Angus LK McKelvey has unfortunately confirmed that several proposals submitted in January to allow for lotteries, casinos and online gambling have been shelved for the time being.
Rep. McKelvey did say that proposals to study the social impact of casino gambling would continue, however, including a look at online gambling and poker.

2) How to Make a Go of It as a Pot-Limit Omaha Professional
Photoshop threads like the one with Phil Hellmuth riding a giant hot dog get a lot of the attention on the 2+2 forums (in that case, totally warranted), but there’s actually a ton of useful information still to be found there.
Despite being ruled by NVG in some ways, it’s still the premier spot for advice and strategy help from other poker pros willing to share their knowledge.
We’ve said Pot-Limit Omaha is the way of the future for the low- to mid-stakes grinder for awhile and a great thread popped up on 2+2 supporting players looking to go that route.
Started by user Napsus, the thread is for those who play PLO professionally to “share a bit of their mindset, daily routine, money management, thoughts for the future,” etc.
If you’re thinking about making the switch to PLO at all, it’s a must read with great contributions and advice in there already.
