Blom had been on a serious tear over the last few days on the site and had won over $700k. He saw the majority of that profit disappear last night and is suddenly down $200k overall in 2012.
The young Swede started his day off by losing the SuperStar Showdown to Isaac Haxton for a mere $5,000.
Things went from bad to worse for Blom as he quickly moved on to another No-Limit Hold’em heads-up table, this time against upcoming SuperStar Showdown opponent Alex “Kanu7” Millar.
Millar wasted no time in the Showdown warm-up and beat Blom for just over $200k in 1,500 hands.
After that loss Isildur1 was done with No-Limit Hold’em for the evening and moved on to $100/$200 6-Max PLO.
Blom was crushed by ChaoRen160, MaiseE and Terken89. He finally called it quits after playing for more than seven hours and recording 4,078 hands.
A number of players benefited from Blom’s sudden downswing, chief among them was Norwegian Terje “Terken89” Augdal who finished his night with $335,000 in profit.
Kanu7 was next in profit, thanks to his heads-up session against Isildur1, with $203k in winnings.
ChaoRen (+$200k) and Gozoboro (+$117k) also posted huge scores as well as Isaac “philivey2694” Haxton who won $104k, which was just barely enough to give him the W in the second round of his SuperStar Showdown rematch against Isildur1.
Joining Isildur1 on the losing side were Canadian Phil “takechip” D’Auteuil (-$143k), verve.oasis (-$114k), MaiseE (-$82k) and mikki696 (-$71k).
