Elias is second in chips with 8.1 million and trails only fellow poker pro Andy Hwang who amassed 10.9 million.

If Elias goes on to win he'll become just the fourth 3-time WPT champ joining Carlos Mortensen, Gus Hansen and Anthony Zinno.

The final table also includes Texas pro Mina Greco (2.2 million) and former SHRPO High Roller winner Jake Schindler (5.6 million).

$682,975 Up Top for Eventual Winner

The remaining six players, who navigated through a massive field of 1,175 players, are gunning for an enormous $682,975 first-place prize.

Jared Jaffee
Jared Jaffe just missed another WPT final table

Elias is looking to win his third WPT title while Andy Hwang is trying to win his second.

Greco has a shot at becoming the first open-field female WPT winner in history, which has taken a surprisingly long time.

Meanwhile Alex Lynskey, from Brisbane, has the rare opportunity for an Australian to win a WPT title.

The final table nearly had one more notable poker pro as New Yorker Jared Jaffee was eliminated by Hwang in 7th place.

Action at WPT Choctaw resumes at 4 p.m. CT today and you can follow along via the brand-new WPT live updates.

Here are the complete final table chip counts:

Seat 1. Alex Lynskey – 5,925,000 (74 bb)
