Today in the 3-Bet we find poker pros getting back to life after the World Series of Poker, Shannon Elizabeth shows she's still got some chops and live multi-tabling goes live.
1) Back to Life Post-WSOP
After seven weeks of daily, intense poker grinding most poker pros are deep in their most poker-free phase of the year right now.
A few have obv. kept the poker train rolling but for most this is a much-needed respite to take a breath, catch up with family, get away from the game and, perhaps, lose a few pounds/habits. Just a few ways pros are purging post-WSOP:
Sometimes you need to stand on a ledge and just take it in. #ParkCity #AfterWsopRelaxation @… https://t.co/tCC2MhJFJd

If, of course, the pros do get around to playing more poker (and they usually do) it usually happens in a more casual environment at least. Case in point: The sold-out "Take 'Em To School" charity poker tournament Wednesday in Manhattan.
Emceed by the ever-present Phil Hellmuth a ton of Wall Streeters, poker pros and celebs took part to benefit Education Reform Now, an advocacy group for public education.
Among the pros to play were Hellmuth, Erik Seidel, Andy Frankenberger, Dee Dozier, Sam Abernathy, Layne Flack and Vanessa Selbst. Former NY Knicks Charles Smith, John Starks and Allan Houston also turned up along with actress Shannon Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was one of poker's celebrity darlings back in the poker boom days and played in several WSOPs/televised poker shows. Her peak may have been finishing second in the NBC Heads-Up Championship in 2007 where she lost to Paul Wasicka but definitely proved she had some real poker chops.
She clearly still has some game though as she finished second to Postable.com co-founder Scott Potash. Dan Fleyshman and Dozier also made the final table. Pics from the event here.
3) Live Multi-Hand Poker is Here and It's ... Intriguing?
One live poker table. Two dealers. Two hands going at once.
It's Multi-Action Poker! And it's ... well ... interesting.
After a trial run at the Aria Poker Room earlier in the year Multi-Action Poker is now live and in effect at the Isle of Pompano Casino in Florida.
Will it stick? Is it going to change the face of live poker? Who knows? Anyone who's tried it out, give us your take in the comments!
