Traditionally the smallest starting day Day 1a of the 2015 World Series of Poker Main Event still offered up plenty of thrills.
Already a bracelet winner in 2014 William Kakon kept his momentum going by bagging up the Day 1A chip lead at 152,325.
Following behind him among the 470 or so survivors were notables Gjergj Sinishtaj (149,000), Jorryt van Hoof (90,650), Mike Matusow (88,225), Jonathan Duhamel (82,200) and Fabian Quoss (80,100).
