After launching californians4ipoker.org in June alongside three cards rooms and two Tribes, PokersStar is pulling out the big guns with a new "Let California Play" tour around the state.
Pros Daniel Negreanu, Chris Moneymaker, Liv Boeree, Vanessa Selbst and Jason Somerville will embark on a multi-stop tour to promote the game of poker and its online counterpart.
The superstars will play with the locals in live tournaments and lend their support to open and fair regulation of online poker in California.
Eight stops have already been locked down over the next two months with more to be announced soon.
“Poker players can play an important role in shaping the debate around iPoker in California," said Eric Hollreiser, Head of Corporate Communications for Amaya Inc. and PokerStars, "so we’re looking to spark conversations in poker rooms up and down the state.
"We have a simple message: Let California Play!”
