You can make suggestions for future WSOP 3-Bet pieces below in the comments section.

In today’s WSOP 3-Bet we’ll take a look at Brazil on the brink of a third WSOP bracelet, Daniel Negreanu getting incredibly lucky in Razz and more bad news for Erick Lindgren.

1) Brazil Looming Large in Monster Stack

Despite an emerging poker market, the number of Brazilian WSOP bracelet winners is surprisingly limited to just two: Alexandre Gomes in 2008 and Andre Akkari in 2011.

That might change today with not one but two Brazilians at the final table of the Monster Stack.

Brazilian Fernando Konishi is actually the leader heading into the final table with an impressive 20.8 million chip stack.

If Konishi fails to go wire-to-wire not all hope is lost for a Brazilian winner as countryman Caio Toledoq will be bringing up the rear with 5.5 million chips.

Of course they’ll both have to contend with noted pro Hoyt Corkins who has 12.9 million chips and is obviously eager to win another bracelet not to mention the $1.2m for first place.

The showdown will be live streamed at noon today.

2) Daniel Negreanu Calls Shot, Makes Nuts with King Showing in Razz

Daniel Negreanu had the good fortune of making an extremely improbable wheel with a king showing in Razz last night, much to the dismay of his opponents.

Just declared I'd make a Kingcycle in 4 way Razz pot with King up. Told the table I would. Started (23) K and caught A 4 5 BOOM!

The hand took place in the $3,000 HORSE event, where Eli Elezra would go on to take the overnight chip lead with 69,000 chips.

Unfortunately for Negreanu, who only has one cash at the 2015 WSOP, it didn’t pan out for him and he actually busted 10 minutes before play ended for the night.

3) Erick Lindgren Files for Bankruptcy Again

Now for some depressing news.

According to Bloomberg, former Team Full Tilt Poker pro Erick Lindgren has filed for bankruptcy protection for the second time in three years.

Lindgren, who has $3.7 million in lifetime live tournament earnings, listed less than $50,000 in assets in the Chapter 11 papers he filed on Tuesday in Las Vegas.

The 2008 WSOP Player of the Year was sued by PokerStars after he failed to return an erroneous $2m payment to his Full Tilt account back in 2011.

Lindgren’s 2012 bankruptcy case ended without clearing up his debts. At the time he owed the IRS $3.8 million.

Despite everything Lindgren continues to grind the WSOP and finished seventh in the Millionaire Maker for $193k on June 5.

Perhaps PokerStars should just throw a patch on Lindgren and get remuneration that way.
