Multiple ways to donate have been set up right in the poker client and you can contribute straight through tournament lobbies, player transfer and FPP donations.
The easiest way to donate is to register for the 'Nepal Earthquake Relief' tournaments in the lobby or via the 'DONATE NOW' link.
PokerStars will double all donations by players and staff as it did with Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, when more than $560,000 was raised.
Those contributions are still making a dramatic difference today and, with the death toll over 5,000 and millions of people affected by the earthquake, are likewise desperately needed in Nepal.
Funds Go to CARE Intentional
Those concerned about where their money is being spent on the ground can read more about CARE International here.
A global confederation of 14 organizations CARE worked in 90 countries around the world in 2014 alone.
In Nepal CARE will distribute emergency shelter and hygiene kits on Wednesday to nearly 2,500 vulnerable people in Gorkha, a rural area near the epicenter of the 7.9 magnitude quake where it’s estimated up to 80% of homes are damaged.
Emergency kits include tarps, mattresses and blankets for shelter. Additional supplies of food, water, tarps and hygiene products will be distributed to 5,000 people in Kathmandu later in the week.
CARE plans to reach 100,000 people with a focus on the most vulnerable, such as women and girls, in the remote areas outside Kathmandu.
