In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at a petition against RAWA, Jean-Robert Bellande with a comeback win and PokerStars’ dramatic new advertising campaign.
1) Protect Online Poker: Petition Against RAWA
Sheldon Adelson’s anti-online poker bill RAWA hasn’t gotten off to the greatest start but it still persists.
Well you can now get involved by signing a petition on https://petitions.whitehouse.gov urging congress to veto the bill.
Even beyond poker, the creator of the petition argues that moving forward with RAWA would set a dangerous precedent in terms of taking power away from individual states since Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware have already legalized the game.
The Poker Players' Alliance and Executive Director John Pappas have already come out in full support of the petition.
The goal of the petition is to reach 100,000 signatures by May 2 with roughly 2,000 already accumulated.
Regardless of politics it’s a simple, quick way to support online poker in the USA.
You can head over to petitions.whitehouse.gov to learn more and sign the document.
2) BrokeLivingJRB Grinding in Cabo, Wins $121k
Ah the swings of Jean-Robert Bellande.
A few weeks after apparently losing his bankrolls on both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker he’s found a way back into the game and actually picked up over $100k online this week.
To be specific Bellande racked up $121,000 while playing under his Jean-Robert B account on Full Tilt Poker, according to highstakesDB.
At this point it’s pretty safe to say that no matter what happens Bellande is pretty much un-bustable.
When you’ve lost your bankroll enough times and always found a way to come back, what’s left to really fear?
JRB shows us how it’s done in a recent Tweet:

— Jean-Robert Bellande (@BrokeLivingJRB) March 31, 20153) PokerStars Launches Series of Interactive Games
Gotta hand it to PokerStars.
The world’s biggest poker site creates some of the most unusual advertising campaigns to promote online poker.
The latest PokerStars promotional vehicle is called “Are You a Natural Born Poker Player?” and it’s obviously aimed at introducing new players to the critical thinking that’s found in poker.
The interactive video actually has players make choices and then assesses what kind of poker player they would be.
So far there are three games online: one where you chase down a thief another where you try to poison an ambassador and finally one where you have to make correct choices about which bathroom stall to use (4-Bet shove all-in on the fourth stall, imo).
It’s all a little bizarre but always good to see a site pushing the envelope.
The video below is a teaser of what they are calling a PokerStars Experience and there’s a link to the actual games at the end:
