The William Hill Poker League (or WHPL) began last week and the site is adding £45 to every weekly tournament, £260 to the winner of each regional league and finally will provide a £5,000 National Championship final table.
The WHPL is divided into seven regional leagues including Scotland, Wales and Ireland. England is split into four regions including London, North, South and Midlands.
Each regional league will hold an £11 buy-in tournament at 4 p.m. on Sundays. After 13 weeks William Hill will declare a winner in each region.
The top 20 players on the regional leaderboard will receive a place in the National Qualifier tournament. The final table from the National Qualifier will play the £5,000 National Event final.
The leaderboard is based on points, which means players who play a lot of tournaments and place decently will move up the charts.
The WHPL’s leaderboard is updated every week so you can check their website every week to see where you stand.
Of course the WHPL is hardly the only promotion that Will Hill is currently running as its exclusive Irish Open Dogfight is in full swing.
This month William Hill will award £20,000 in Irish Open packages and prizes to players who generate the most Dogfight leaderboard points.
This promotion includes all cash games and tournaments and you earn 10 Dogfight Points for every $1 in rake generated at the cash game tables or $1 paid in tournament fees.
