Last night the upstart Polish pro outlasted 55 entries in the €5,000 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo event to win €110,000. Incredibly it was Urbanovich’s third outright victory at the festival.
He kicked off the series by winning the massive €25,000 High Roller for €572,300, defeating the likes of Connor Drinan and Dani Stern.
Urbanovich also won the €1,000 Deepstack event on Sunday for €35,200. Add in another final table in the €500 nightly Hyper Turbo where he finished eighth for €2,405 and Urbanovich is up to €719,905 in winnings.
Urbanovich Now Sits Fourth All Time in Poland
Thanks to his rapid ascension up the all-time Polish winner’s chart Urbanovich is only a paltry $28,000 from moving into the top three for his country.
Despite being relatively unknown entering EPT Malta, Urbanovich was highly respected by his Polish peers as an elite online player who uses the handle “colisea”.
Urbanovich has SCOOP and WCOOP titles already on PokerStars and even chopped the Sunday 500 just eight days ago.
It’s not quite Dan Colman levels but it’s safe to say Urbanovich is on one hell of a heater.
Amazingly Urbanovich has yet to buy into the main event but he still has time as registration is open until the start of Day 2.
At this point it would not be completely shocking if Urbanovich won the main event as well.
Not everyone is excited about Urbanovich’s amazing run at EPT Malta, however. As Mike McDonald puts it:
In 4 days Dzmitry Urbanovich has won as many live tournies as I have in my life. I'll be asking these kids if they want fries with that soon
