The series begins with a $100 buy-in $20,000-GTD Player’s Choice event where the PartyPoker community actually gets to chose the format of the tournament.
There are already a variety of poker variants on the schedule with No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Bounty, 6-Max, Heads-Up and Rebuy all represented.
NJCOP will culminate with a $150,0000-GTD Main Event on April 26.
The series is open exclusively to PartyPoker players located in New Jersey.
$2.5m GTD PokerFest Available for Rest of the World
This is the second time PartyPoker has held the NJCOP and last year nearly 1,000 players bought into the Main Event alone.
Online player MikeFrancesa outlasted everyone and made $33,577, thanks to a four-way deal.
If you’re not in the U.S. you can take solace in the fact PartyPoker is getting set to run its popular PokerFest event for the rest of the world.
PokerFest 2015 starts March 29 and runs through April 12, 2015, with a staggering 77 events and $2.5 million in guaranteed prizes.
The PokerFest 2015 Main Event will take place April 12 with a $300,000 guarantee.
