
It was in 2009, in a $10/$20 No-Limit game in Las Vegas when a wealthy amateur hot off a winning blackjack session sat down at the table.
Epp knew an opportunity when she saw it. Despite the inherent risk she retrieved her entire bankroll from the cage and put it all on the table.
The big hand started out like the opening scene from Rounders. Epp had a seemingly unbeatable hand and had to decide whether to push her entire bankroll across the line.
“It was a defining moment,” says Epp. “A lot went through my head and folding definitely would have been the easiest way out of it.”
