The 27-year-old from Burlington, Vermont defeated Toronto's Ratharam Sivagnanam heads-up to finish things off after just 135 hands at the final table.

Already with two WCOOP titles to his credit, Jaffe boosted his career live earnings to just over $2m with the win and earned a seat in the $15k WPT World Championship this Spring.

The 24-year-old Sivagnanam, who had just $3,000 in live cashes prior to WPT Montreal, pockets a life-changing $313,318 for his runner-up finish.

Things got off to a promising start at the televised final table for back-to-back WPT Montreal final-tablist Mukul Pahuja.

The reigning WPT Player of the Year doubled up on just the ninth hand of the day to cripple Guillaume Nolet and jump into third in the chip counts.

After finishing second last year Pahjua was hoping to make the final leap to the top but unfortunately couldn't get any higher.

The chip advantage of Jaffe and Sivagnanam was too much to overcome before he finally busted in Hand #54 with A-Q to Jaffe's KK.

Former EPT Berlin champ Kevin MacPhee also couldn't gain ground on the two big chip leaders and fell in fourth at his first career WPT final table.

Local hope Sam Chartier busted in fifth. For a full rundown of all the action check the WPT Live Updates. The final six and payouts (in CAD):

1. Jonathan Jaffe - $463,432 2. Ratharam Sivagnanam - $313,318 3. Mukul Pahuja - $201,920 4. Kevin MacPhee - $149,340 5. Samuel Chartier - $111,820 6. Guillaume Nolet - $90,350
