Big names littered the chip counts as they played down in the money in Montreal and no less than four of them still have chips in front of them heading to the final day.
Leading them all is two-time WCOOP winner Jonathan Jaffe, who maintained his chip lead from Day 3 to top Day 4 as well.
Jaffe bagged up 7,495,000 to stay well ahead of the pack and give him a prime shot at collecting his first WPT title.
Just behind Jaffe in second place overall is Toronto's Ratharam Sivagnanam, who has just $3,058 in career live cashes to his credit but a solid 6,645,000-chip stack to help change that tomorrow.
Pahuja Back in MTL Final; MacPhee Survives
Back in the final six after an impressive runner-up finish last year is reigning WPT Player of the Year Mukul Pahuja.
He's currently fifth in chips with 1.9m but clearly has the experience of last year to help his cause as he tries to move up the pay grade tomorrow.
Also one of the short stacks is Kevin MacPhee, EPT Berlin champ in the year of the infamous hotel raid and a very established online pro.
Representing the local contingent are Sam Chartier and Guillaume Nolet. Chartier is the more decorated of the two with a laundry list of big cashes both live and online. Notably Chartier has won a WSOP-C ring and the Bigger $109 on PokerStars.
Just missing the final table were Phil Hui (7th), Marc-Andre Ladouceur (9th) and Maurice Hawkins (13th). The full final six and chip counts:
