The veteran O'Dwyer, who has called Ireland home since Black Friday, toppled businessman Roger Sippl, one of the only amateurs in the event, heads-up to seal the win.
Already an EPT Main Event winner O'Dywer adds another SHR title to his career accomplishments, which now add up to about $9m in live earnings and a few more million online.
O'Dwyer also won the APPT Macau High Roller in November for about the same $1.8m. German Martin Finger is the only other player to have both an EPT Main Event and EPT Super High Roller title.
Sippl Makes Valiant Run, Mizzi Out 4th
The only non-pro to make the final table, software entrepreneur Roger Sippl, had some good fortune shine on him on the bubble and at the final table but certainly held his own when it mattered most.
Facing an elite final seven that included Andrew Robl, Bryn Kenney, Christoph Vogelsang, Sorel Mizzi and Sam Greenwood Sippl grabbed the chip lead when he spiked a queen to eliminate Vogelsang in fifth.
By the time they reached heads-up, however, O'Dwyer, who eliminated Bryn Kenney in third, held a susbstantial chip lead and cruised to the win.
Beginning of the day chip leader Mizzi, who had 30% of the chips in play at one point, chipped down for most of the day before busting in fourth.
Sippl, who is no stranger to the high-stakes cash games in Vegas, earned $1.3m for his runner-up finish while Kenney pocketed $873,000.
